Speaking as the chief guest at the Uganda Development Bank first cohort graduation of Enterprise Development Program, Col. Edith Nakalema, the head of SHIPU highlighted the indispensable role of strategic leadership in the evolution of MSMEs. In a call to action, she emphasized the critical need for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to adopt strategic leadership and robust business structures, urging them to identify sustainable markets as a cornerstone for growth and transformation into larger enterprises.

SHIPU had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Joe Dashley, the UK Political Counsellor of the British High Commission in Uganda. This significant meeting, held at SHIPU's offices was an opportunity to discuss and explore ways to empower investors through enhanced collaboration between Uganda and the United Kingdom.

On a visit to the Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU), Col. Edith Nakalema, head of SHIPU, was warmly welcomed by the foundation's top management, led by CEO Mr. Stephen Asiimwe. In a proactive effort to resolve issues affecting the Floras Best Green Houses project, Col. Edith Nakalema, Head of the State House Investors Protection Unit, convened a crucial meeting. The objective was to eliminate delays faced by the German investors behind the project, attributed to a lack of coordination among key stakeholders.

During the meeting that was held at the unit's offices in Kampala, Col. Nakalema and the youth leaders discussed how they can fight corruption in the country through the right procedures.

In a significant step towards bolstering investment protection, Col. Edith Nakalema, the head Of State House Investors Protection Unit (SHIPU) hosted a high-level delegation from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Uganda on 6th June, 2024 at her offices along Lumumba Avenue, Nakasero-Kampala.

The delegation was led by H.E. Mr. Majid Saffar, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Uganda.

He was in company of Mr. Mohsen Aghaloo, First Secretary, and Mr. Ali Karimi, Deputy CEO of Iran Uganda Hospital.
